We contribute to society
Grant Programme „Together“
Every year, our employees have the opportunity to apply for financial support for non-profit organizations or associations in four categories: Children, Disabled, Culture and Sport. The amount of support per project ranges from CZK 5,000 to 20,000.
Good Neighbour
As part of this project, HMMC annually supports cultural, sports and leisure activities in 13 neighbouring municipalities. Each municipality can apply for financial support of its events up to 50,000 CZK. Municipalities can receive another CZK 25,000 in the “Good Neighbour Together” sub-programme. It is about support of ecological activities in which municipal residents and our employees participate.
Eco Days
As a socially responsible company we not only help neighboring municipalities where we for example plant trees, renovate playgrounds,
clean the river or help with the construction of various facilities but also organize the events for our employees who can actively participate.
Hydrogen RC models Competition
Our company has twice become a proud partner of the Horizon Grand Prix, the Czech Championship in the RC hydrogen model race. Since Hyundai is a pioneer in the field of hydrogen propulsion, this cooperation is very important to us. In addition, the program supports directly secondary schools and students in technical education.
Traffic Competition
We also regularly participate in a competition for young cyclists in Frýdek-Místek, organized by the Frýdek-Místek Municipal Police. Pupils of the 4th grade of primary school demonstrate their knowledge of traffic education, which is a compulsory subject in the 4th grade. The best cyclists will receive bicycles and valuable prizes from our company. A skillful cyclist is a conscious driver in the future.
Donating cars to schools
Every year, HMMC also donates several pre-production cars to technical schools, vocational schools and other institutions that can use these vehicles. These models are complete, fully functional and perfectly equipped, but cannot be driven on public roads. Since 2007, 120 cars have been donated for teaching purposes.
Volunteering
Within Core Value Week we help in several facilities (e.g. ADRA, Slezská Diakonie, Archa Protected Housing, etc.) where our employees spend time working with clients, painting, refurbishing or cleaning up during their working hours. In addition, the company contributes to each facility a sum of money that will help them.
Endowment fund
Based on the Declaration of Understanding between HMMC, state institutions and environmental associations, the Hyundai Endowment Fund was set up to distribute CZK 25 million over several years to support community projects implemented primarily in the Frýdek-Místek and Nový Jičín areas. These projects address both the protection and improvement of the environment, transparency of public administration and public access to decision-making.
Hyundai Family Day
Every year we organize a family day for our employees and their families on the premises of our company. The programme includes site tours, a rich cultural program, many competitions and attractions not only for children but also for adults. The programme culminates every year with a concert of the main star of the evening.
Children’s homes football tournament
For children’s homes in the Moravian-Silesian Region, we annually co-organize a football tournament of children’s homes, attended by ten facilities. Children are very excited about this event every year and they always play fair play.
