For the fifth time now, representatives of the Nošovice car plant Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech (HMMC) accepted the prize in Prague for winning the national Employer of the Year competition in the category of up to 5000 employees. With the exception of 2016, when Hyundai finished second, it has won every year since 2013, when it took part in the competition for the first time.

The evaluation by an expert committee is based on a so-called controlled questionnaire in which competing companies answer detailed questions concerning all areas of human resources. Questions relate to recruitment, training and further development of staff, evaluation systems, remuneration, but also employee benefits and other things. “Our real strength is training, but we also have a strong position thanks to our wages and employee benefits. I am really proud not only of this victory, but especially of our plant and its employees, ”said Donghwan Yang, President of HMMC.

Training is a major strongpoint of the Nošovice car plant, as it encompasses a vast array of activities ranging from initial training for new employees, language and IT courses, various training and personal development courses to a set of Hyundai global core values and their practical implementation. “I think that our system of developing managerial skills and talent management is absolutely unique, not only in senior management positions, but also in the production process through the Academy of Masters and their representatives,” says Lenka Garbulinská, Head of Education. In addition to the title Employer of the Year, the Hyundai Car Plant Motor Manufacturing Czech is a triple winner of the National Quality Award in the highest category of Excellence, seven times winner of the Company of the Year Award of the Czech Automotive Industry Association or the Safe Enterprise award.
