Volunteer day at Hyundai

On Thursday, August 18, 2022, we again put on the green volunteer T-shirts and together with nature conservationists from the ČSOP Salamandr set off to the Beskydy village of Krásná. That is where “our” Hyundai meadow is located, which we have been restoring for more than a year as part of volunteer days. On a hot summer day, we started raking hay, so the mountain meadow is one step closer to its original form.

“In some places the meadow has recovered quickly, in other places it is slower, it is overgrown with brambles and it will take some time to work with it. However, we are well on our way to make the place look like a colourful meadow again,” says Vojtěch Bajer, chairman of ČSOP Salamandr. “Already in the spring, we helped clean up the old grass and trees at the Hyundai meadow, and another joint event awaits us this year, on September 15,” adds our colleague Jana, who is in charge of the partnership with the non-profit organization.

Despite the high summer temperatures that awaited the volunteers on the meadow during the day, enthusiasm for a job well done could be seen on their faces. “It’s great that the company organizes these days, they are taking place for the umpteenth time and I myself am participating for the second time. I would like to recommend everyone who hesitates and would like to participate to take advantage of this opportunity,” added our colleague Honza from the Final Assembly hall with a smile.
