Every year at the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech car plant in Nošovice
begins with a celebratory meeting. This year was no different, and the best
employees of last year were officially recognised. 50 employees receive a
bronze plaque and CZK 4000, 15 employees received a silver plaque and CZK 15000,
8 employees received a gold plaque and CZK 20000, and 2 employees were awarded
a platinum plaque and CZK 30000.
The criteria for consideration as one of the top employees include results at
work, extraordinary skills and knowledge and suggestions leading to a reduction
in manufacturing costs. One of those recognized, for example, is a leading
expert in diagnostics of electronic systems in cars. Workers in the paint shop,
press shop and final assembly took an analytical approach to their work and
suggested minor changes to the technology, production process and
standardisation of materials for use in various different models helped to achieve
annual savings of the order of millions of Czech Crowns.
“I am proud of the staff we’ve recognized today, because they prove that with
open eyes and an open mind, we can still identify opportunities to improve and
make savings, without making any sacrifices in terms of the quality of cars we
build,” said the President of Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech, Mr. Donghwan
Jang.
